We are bringing Solr, Lucene, Tika, and any other related Apache projects into one big happy hackfest!

What We’re Working On
We’re focusing on:
- Good first issues — small, well-scoped tasks suitable for new contributors: JIRA issues labeled “newdev”
- Documentation improvements — help us improve our getting-started guides and API docs
- Bug fixes — a curated set of bugs that are approachable with mentoring support
- Solr MCP - come get hands on experience using the new Solr MCP tool from Aditya!
- Tika 4.0 - Bring your search pipeline and put it on Tika 4.0. Want to go deeper? Pick a “newdev” task or go big and help us build out and improve scaling of our multimodal inference hooks.
