Community over Code Glasgow 2026 Speaker Kit
Overview
Thank you for being a speaker at Community over Code Glasgow, taking place October 11-14, 2026, at the Hilton Glasgow, Glasgow, Scotland. Community over Code is the official conference of the Apache Software Foundation, where committers, contributors, and community members behind the world’s most widely deployed open source software gather to share, learn, and shape what comes next.
This is your official event speaker guide. Please bookmark this page and check back as the event gets closer, since we’ll add more speaker information (such as on-site details) as it becomes available. Your registration includes all conference content (keynotes, sessions, co-located events, BoFs), Expo Hall entry, welcome coffee, lunch, morning and afternoon coffee and snacks, and a conference t-shirt.

Visa Letter Requests
If you require a visa letter to travel to the UK, please register for the event first, then request your letter. We ask that you note the following:
- A visa letter does not guarantee visa approval; final approval rests with the UK government.
- Request your visa letter as early as possible and contact your local Embassy/Consulate with any visa questions.
- To start a visa letter request, email planners@apachecon.com or ask in #speaker-help.
Venue & Travel
Community over Code Glasgow will be held at the Hilton Glasgow.

The closest airport is Glasgow International Airport (GLA), approximately 15 minutes from the venue. Bus, subway, and train options are available across Glasgow.
Parking: Self-parking £16.50 per day on-site (£3.30/hour, max vehicle height 1.8m). EV charging, secured and covered parking, and in/out privileges available. Valet parking is not available.
Accommodations are available at the venue. The discounted room block has closed, so rooms are now at standard rate. Availability is limited, so please book as soon as you can to secure your stay. Travel and hotel details
Schedule + Confirming Your Bio/Session
The Schedule is published on Cvent. Please review your session and confirm that your bio, session title and description, and timing are all correct.
The main conference runs Sunday, October 11 through Wednesday, October 14, with co-located events (Lakehouse Day, Airflow Contributor Days) and workshops on Saturday, October 10. There are 160+ sessions across 18 tracks, plus evening Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions and social events.
If everything looks good, no response is needed. If you have a conflict with your session timing or spot an error in your details, tell us as soon as possible in #speaker-help so we can work with the track chairs to sort it out.
Speaker Cancellation and Session Update Policy
If you need to cancel or update your session, please contact us in #speaker-help. All requests must be made by October 1, 2026.
- If you are on a solo session and can no longer attend, your session may be canceled and replaced with one from the waitlist.
- If you want to add a co-speaker, or replace a speaker on a multi-speaker session, the request must be approved by the track chair before we can add them.
AV Details + Requirements
Each session room includes a screen, projector, and microphones. All speakers must supply their own laptop and any necessary adaptors. Please confirm your laptop’s video output (HDMI, USB-C, etc.) and bring the right adaptor. If you require any additional AV, ask in #speaker-help.
Slides
Template. We have an optional slide template you’re welcome to use for your session: Slide template. Use of the template is not required, but you’re welcome to make a copy for your convenience.
Slide reviews and dress rehearsals. We offer optional slide reviews and dress rehearsals for anyone who wants them, whether you’re a first-time speaker or a veteran who wants a second pair of eyes. If you’d like feedback on your slides, want a practice run with a friendly audience, or just want to talk through your plan, request a session in #speaker-help on the ASF Slack.
Uploading your slides. All speakers are encouraged to upload their final slides ahead of the event, which helps drive interest in your session and supports accessibility.
